Interesting article on runningbacks on Sportsline today. The idea that Ronnie Brown is going to step it up a level this season seems to be one of the more hyped stories of this offseason.
I’m not arguing that Cam Cameron, Miami’s new head coach, doesn’t have an impressive offensive track record. But let’s keep in mind that the Dolphin’s had a terrible line last year. I don’t think they did enough to patch the holes. Drafting rookie Samson Satele, who is projected to start at center, was the most noteworthy attempt at improving the line this offseason. A number of the other O-line vets will be at new positions in 07.
Plus, I have questions at how effective “Old Man Trent” will be at keeping defenses honest. This is all coming from a Phins fan by the way - sorry, I just threw up in my mouth again thinking about passing on Brady Quinn so we could momentarily hand the reigns over to a salt-and-peppered, concussion-prone 36-year old who got sent packing by his previous employer because they preferred Damon Huard.
